A Rock Springs Snapshot

Text reads: 'For many years the Union Pacific Coal Company handed out worker safety awards at an annual event in Rock Springs. In 1946, the awards ceremony was radio-broadcasted by station KVRS. (The Federal Government began liscensing radio stations in 1912. In 1921, radtio stations began having assigned call signs beginning with a W in the East, and a K in the west. KVRS received a liscence in 1938 and in 1974 became KRKK.) Unfortunately museum records do not reflect the name of the two men or the little girl.
